Mechanical Engineer Spring/Summer Co-op

Chemours is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Co-op to join our team at the Chambers Works Site in Deepwater, NJ. This position will report directly to an Area Manager and work with engineers in the said Area. The successful candidate will work a full-time position of 40 hours per week from April-September 2019.
Students that succeed in Chemours' internship and co-op program are typically reconsidered for future opportunities within the company! Eager students that are looking to be a catalyst for better are encouraged to apply.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Developing and/or implementing pump reliability improvement projects
Analyzing equipment performance concerns and recommending improvement plans
Conducting failure analysis investigations
Developing and/or implementing mechanical integrity inspection and testing programs
Assisting with the interpretation of mechanical integrity inspection results
Assisting with quality assurance reviews for new capital projects, possibly including fabrication shop visits
Preparing Test Authorizations or Change of Design documents for equipment changes
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
Current enrollment at an accredited university as a sophomore or above
Mechanical Engineering course work or experience
Ability to work with minimal guidance
Self-motivation
Good interpersonal skills
Work well as a team player
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Creative and independent thinker
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Access
The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:
Previous internship or co-op experience in chemicals industry
3.5 GPA or above

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
