The Chemours Company headquartered in Wilmington, DE has a MI-QA Inspector position available in Deepwater, NJ.? This is a highly visible, key role within the Company and the Engineering function. This position will report to the MI-QA Leader.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Perform daily PM task utilizing NDE certifications
  • Participating in development of inspection and test plans for plant equipment.
  • Inspecting/examining equipment per applicable RAGAGEPs, documenting and transmitting inspection results, and making recommendations as appropriate for repair/upgrade/retirement of equipment.
  • Managing inspection data in systems such as Ultrapipe?.
  • Defining and approving repairs to in service equipment, per RAGAGEPs.? This may include auditing and evaluation of local contracted repair organizations, and inspection of repair work. ?
  • Participating in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and incident investigations related to equipment failures.
  • Directing and coordinating the work of contract examiners as needed, including auditing and evaluation.
  • Where applicable, working with jurisdictional inspectors to ensure local requirements are met.
  • Managing inspection and repair documentation, potentially including NDE procedures, welding procedures, inspection plans,
  • Leads identification and prioritization of risk reduction opportunities, and helps areas in establishing appropriate priorities to drive process safety improvement.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Must have 3-7 years of chemical/petrochemical plant inspection/examination experience.
  • Must be a certified Level II NDE examiner with the following certifications - VT, PT, UT Thickness, MT, UT Shear Wave, ET.
  • Manufacturing experience with exposure to?Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS)?and maintenance systems/tools.?
  • Process Safety Management (PSM)/ Highly Toxic Material (HTM) high hazard experience.?
  • Ability to interpret engineering standards and RAGAGEP's

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

  • Knowledgeable and certified via?API 510, 570, 653.
  • Associates degree or above math, engineering, or science fields

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
