The Chemours Chambers Works facility located in Deepwater, NJ has a Reliability & Equipment Engineer position available. This is a highly visible, key role within the Company and the Technology function. This position will report to Manufacturing Technology Supervisor.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Evaluate significant or repetitive failures; lead root cause analysis on bad actors to develop mitigation plans.
Ensure new designs and modifications incorporate reliability, maintainability, operability, and life cycle costing reviews.
Evaluate and implement changes to address reliability issues from inspections and real time failures. This includes maintaining a communication/recordkeeping program to capture reliability experiences.
Participate on PSM (Process Safety Management) element teams and incorporate standards into area equipment, with a focus on Quality Assurance and Mechanical Integrity.
Conduct necessary calculations, documentation, and authorize repairs of piping and PSM critical equipment.
Evaluate and implement the effectiveness of current predictive maintenance activities and establish activities for modified/newly installed equipment.
Identify and develop plans to address top 5 Reliability Issues and review progress monthly.
Develop long term capital plans to address on inspections/repairs that is routinely updated as new information becomes available
QUALIFICATIONS:
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
BS in Mechanical Engineering (3.0 or greater GPA) or Pursuing a Mechanical Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited program
Six months of Co-op / Internship engineering work experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering Research and Development work.
Well-developed technical writing skills
Good working knowledge of failure analysis, design changes and implementation, long term predictive/preventative maintenance programs, auditing and reliability assurance control
Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects
Demonstrated skill in leadership, team building and achieving results through influence and negotiation
Good interpersonal and communication skills. Must work well in both self-managed and team environment.
Note: Plant assistance will require some night and weekend technical coverage.
The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:
5-10 years of relevant work experience (full-time or co-op).
Demonstrated functional/technical expertise and experience in other mechanical/reliability skillsets such as inspections/mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, root cause failures, relief valve calculations, area technical support, etc.
Ability to read and interpret complex standards and to work with the site to ensure compliance. API/Corporate standards knowledge is preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
