Analytical Chemist/Compliance Lead

The Chemours Company headquartered in Wilmington, DE has an Analytical Chemist/Compliance Lead position available in Deepwater, NJ. This role is within the Chambers Works Site Manufacturing Services function. This position will report to Site Manufacturing Services Technology Manager.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provide technical guidance and oversight to laboratory technicians performing sample analysis in support of plant manufacturing and development activities and also technicians ensuring regulatory compliance.
Ensure all regulatory compliance obligations are met including maintaining compliant methods, laboratory procedures, training, reporting; and laboratory certification.
Work with laboratory technicians and their supervision to increase technician capabilities and maintain safe and environmentally compliant laboratory conditions.
Become familiar with, and capable of supporting, multiple analytical technologies including participating in troubleshooting of analytical test methods and laboratory instruments.
Work collaboratively with chemists and others in the manufacturing organization to resolve issues, make improvements, and meet manufacturing analytical and timing needs. Network with company experts to solve complex analytical problems.
Communicate with outside laboratories as needed on technical and schedule matters.
Update and develop laboratory methods, prepare training packages, and follow laboratory technician training progress.
Participate in investigating problems and in developing and implementing corrective actions in accordance with the laboratory ISO 9001:2015 quality program
Manage multiple projects and workstreams effectively and efficiently, collaborating across functions to ensure objectives are met, including, as needed, implementing leading-edge technologies required to maintain manufacturing and compliance support.
Be available at times to provide night and weekend plant coverage.
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
PhD in Analytical Chemistry with industrial experience in quality control laboratory or similar setting.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with ability to achieve results through influence and negotiation.
Ability and desire to learn new technologies.
Ability to effectively network with internal and external colleagues.
Strong technical and functional skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated knowledge of analytical processes and methodologies applicable to a manufacturing setting.
Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects.
Well-developed technical writing skills including the ability to write and review laboratory methods and standard operating procedures.
Must work well in both self-managed and team environment.
Familiarity with routine testing utilizing two or more general analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV, titrations, FTIR, ICP, SFC, or wet chemical tests.
The following skills are preferred by the business unit:
Broad analytical chemistry background.
Two to three years of experience in an industrial setting.
Familiarity with organofluorine chemistry.
Experience in interacting with a variety of functional groups (e.g., manufacturing, technology) within the organization is desired.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
