Reliability and Equipment Engineer

The Chemours Chambers Works facility located in Deepwater, NJ has a Reliability and Equipment Engineer position available within the Site Manufacturing Services function. This position will report to Site Manufacturing Services Technology Manager.
Chemours Chambers Works is a large, complex manufacturing and research/development site with approximately 500 employees and 300 full time contractors. Site Manufacturing Services (SMS) is responsible for equipment, infrastructure, and piping systems for incoming and site-generated utilities including nitrogen, natural gas, compressed air, breathing air, steam, electricity, cooling water, fire water, a water treatment facility generating process and potable water, biological treatment of on-site and off-site wastewater, and an on-site landfill. The Reliability and Equipment Engineer provides support needed for the successful operation of these utilities.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Evaluate significant and repetitive failures, lead root cause analysis on bad actors, develop mitigation plans using tools such as root cause failure analysis and failure modes and effects analysis.
Ensure new designs and modifications incorporate reliability, maintainability, operability, and life cycle costing reviews.
Evaluate inspection and failure information and implement changes addressing reliability issues. This includes maintaining a communication and recordkeeping program to capture reliability experiences.
Coordinate with Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance personnel to ensure appropriate incorporation of industry and corporate standards into unit equipment planning, purchasing, inspections, and repairs.
Ensure appropriate inspection technologies are being used and assess quality of inspection plans
Prepare necessary calculations, documentation, and repair authorizations for repairs of piping and equipment.
Evaluate the effectiveness of current predictive and preventive maintenance, recommend optimized predictive and preventive maintenance, and recommend spares.
With Operations input, identify and develop plans to address top reliability issues and review progress monthly using reliability reports.
Collaborate with site Technical, Operations, and Maintenance personnel concerning equipment design and reliability-related issues.
Utilize inspection and repair information to develop and maintain long-term capital recommendations.
Network with site reliability engineers and others to support improvement initiatives with reliability focus.
Participate in the development of equipment design and installation specifications and commissioning plans.
Be available at times to provide night and weekend plant coverage.
Other duties as assigned.
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
B.S. Engineering degree. Mechanical preferred.
Five years of experience or less including current college graduates with six months of co-op / internship engineering work experience in a manufacturing setting.
Strong technical and functional skills.
Well-developed technical writing skills.
Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects.
Demonstrated knowledge in utilization of PC based software.
Good interpersonal and communication skills. Must work well in both self-managed and team environment, able to achieve results through influence and negotiation.
The following skills are preferred by the business unit:
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with processes and methodologies applicable in a manufacturing setting including SAP, OSHA compliance, and process safety management.
Knowledge of manufacturing, maintenance, and reliability strategies and best practices such as failure modes and effects analysis, root cause failure analysis, mean time between failures methodology, predictive techniques for fixed and rotating equipment, application of equipment and techniques such as vibration analysis, nondestructive testing, and thermography.
Experience with additional engineering skills such as inspections, recommending and evaluating mechanical repairs, relief valve calculations, and area technical support.
Ability to read and interpret complex standards and work with others to ensure compliance.
Knowledge of API, ASME, and ISO industry standards for fixed and rotating equipment.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
